Salters Oak Maintenance Pack

Product Details All the solid oak furniture in our Salters Oak collection is finished with a clear protective oil that is hand applied as part of our handcrafting process. As the oil soaks into the oak it leaves it with a matte finish and enhances the natural look of the grain and features, bringing it to life. It also provides a protective finish to the natural timber. As with all natural wood furniture we would strongly recommend that you protect our oak furniture from heat and moisture, with the use of coasters, heat-protective mats, and other precautionary measures. Our Salters Oak Maintenance Packs are the ideal way to care for our solid oak furniture. These packs include everything you need to keep our oak furniture in the best possible condition. Specifications Each pack includes: 1 tin of clear protective oil – approx. 125ml 1 piece of sandpaper 1 application cloth Instructions For Use Your maintenance pack will come with instructions, but to give you an idea of what to expect, we’ve included a summary here too… Lightly sand the damaged area or area you wish to restore, using the sandpaper provided. Wipe over the item, ensuring that it is free from dust, then apply the first coat of oil, thinly and evenly along the wood (we recommend using a brush, not supplied). Spread well and wipe away any excess oil. Allow to dry for approximately 4-5 hours, with good ventilation. Lightly sand the surface, then wipe clean. Repeat oiling steps for the second coat.  Dispatch & Delivery Our wax care packs are dispatched within 1-2 working days of placing your order and are sent first class via Royal Mail.
